one surgery and a year later

soo i had surgery on my right hip in december. For about two weeks i thought it was doing well until my pain came back even worse. My hip pops and clunks.. i always feel like its going to pop out of place or that someone is stabbing me in the groin. My doctor referred me to a new surgern that does bone cutting procedures and i will be going to see him today. Im very nervous.. i just want someone to say they can fix me. I havent worked out in almost 3 years and its killing me. I havent found anything i can do that doesnt cause pain. I hope he can do something to help me.

no answer still..well kinda

Ok so I was on my way home from class when i finally got a call from my doctors nurse. I was sooo relieved!! Finally I'm going to get an answer if i will be going to St Louis or not, but of course that would be to easy. The only thing they tell me is that they got the letter back from the doctor and that i was to come in on friday to discuss with my doctor my options. Yeah, to me that didnt sound to positive. I may be wrong but that sounds like I'm packing my bags and going to St Loius. Im not sure what my feelings are yet. I want to be happy because maybe not in six monthes or a year but i will finally be out of pain! I can be a normal 19 year old running around and not worrying about my hip! Its bitter sweet. I cant make up my mind how i feel. But im a nervous wreck not knowing whats going to happen. To add on that ill have to drop my classes for this semester! Which totally bums me out. Anywho maybe in two days ill find out really whats going on...

Hi everyone!


Well i guess ill just start off with a few things about me. Im a college student currently in my second year. I use to be a competive gymnast before i had to quit and I love animals.


Anywho, i have been researching hip dysplasia for a couple weeks now and trying to pull together some information. I have had hip/knee pain for about 10 years now and no one has helped me. About a month ago my pain go worse in my right hip so I went back o the doctor for some help. They got an MRI and they diagnosed me with hip dysplasia. And because of the dysplasia i have a torn labrum. It was all alot to take in and now i am waiting for him to talk with another doctor. Hes not sure if this doctor in st. louis will want to perform the PAO or if i just get the labrum repaired. Its been about four weeks now and still heard nothing. Im getting sooo nervous and im really not sure what to expect. Either way I will need to have surgery and thats my worst fear! Please I will take any advice...Im very scared!
